...bloody documentary.
Its an assignment from my university which is in its 75th lustrum and now i need to make a short documentary with a group. We have brainstormed some bit, but I cant seem to find a bloody story anywhere. Ive thought about people around the universtiy and of old folks looking back, making it as personal as possible, but thats about it.
Any tips on how to get insights in new angles?
Oh, and Im on a very tight schedual here so its about 3 weeks of research and 3 weeks of shooting.

Documentaries are quite difficult to do and keep interesting IMO. Get establishing shots, get cut aways at interviews, get interviewees, get a great voice-over. Keep your "message" malleable since you never know what angle you might unearth during shooting. Choose a subject you yourself are passionate about and have gaps of knowledge that need filling. As ever, just remember you need a beginning, middle, and end, you still need a hook and inciting incident to keep things interesting.

Yeah, I think Miker pretty much nailed it. Go with everything he said.
Plus a couple of lightweight working lights and batteries for your camera and mikes. Lots of batteries. Think how many you'll need and then double it as there's nothing worse than being out and about when all your kit goes dead.

LOTS of batteries.
